I do consider myself a scientist for a few reasons. First of all, if I find a rock, I observe the rock, and draw the conclusion that it is a metamorphic rock, then that means that I am acting like a scientist. Or if I observe a Pine tree or a zucchini plant or something like that, those are all things that a scientist does. Also we do things in science class and we are always doing research or learning about what scientist do. Like one time when we were in class we were using observation and inference. We were doing the mystery boxes and we tried to figure out what was inside them by only looking at the front of the box. For myself, my dad is an aerospace engineer (otherwise known as a rocket scientist) and so he is always telling me about the sky at night or the planets or some other thing about space, so I am always learning with him around. For example, we have a telescope in our house so every once in a while we go outside at night and look at the moon and/or the stars. I can always ask him a question about science and he will always do his best to answer. That is why I consider myself as a scientist.
